Job Title: Registered Nurse House Supervisor

At Intermountain Healthcare, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse House Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for supervising hospital activities and coordinating between patient care areas and other departments to ensure safe and effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain competency to deliver patient care to a variety of patient populations.
  • Embrace technology and utilize the EMR to enhance efficiency and quality decision making.
  • Oversee the staffing of nursing units and proactively manage gaps in nursing division coverage.
  • Strive to optimize productivity and acuity balanced assignments.
  • Serve as a resource to the nursing division with knowledge of federal, state, regulatory, policy, procedure, and practice standards.
  • Ensure supplies, equipment, medications, and other resources are available to promote safe, quality patient care.
  • Strive to ensure service excellence for our patients and families.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to nursing division associates to promote professional growth.
  • Promote workplace safety and healthy work environments.
  • Encourage collaboration across hospital departments and among professionals to ensure safe, quality patient care.
  • Embrace the organization's strategic objectives and related initiatives.
  • Demonstrate understanding of Emergency Management principles and the hospital Emergency Operations Plan.
  • Promote safe, quality patient care and facilitate the escalation and investigation of patient, family, or associate events.
  • Utilize the Nurse Practice Act, Scope and Standards of Practice, and Code of Ethics to role model professional nursing behaviors and practice.
Requirements:
  • BSN or completion of BSN within 4 years of hire.
  • Current RN license in state of practice or Compact license.
  • BLS certification.
  • ACLS certification required within 6-months of hire.
  • FEMA training ICS 100 and ICS 200, Emergency Notification System training, and EMR e-training within 12 months of hire.
  • Minimum 3 years current RN clinical experience which includes the management of critical, complex patients.
  • Leadership experience.
