Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Appliance Service Technician to join our team at K&A Appliance. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing major household appliances in customers' homes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair major household appliances in customers' homes
  • Assist with service repairs in the warehouse when needed
  • Prepare invoices and collect payments on completed service calls and any parts or additional labor costs from customers
  • Maintain the Service Van and keep it stocked with parts used on a regular basis
  • Communicate effectively with the Service Coordinator regarding service calls and any issues that arise
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of experience servicing/repairing major household appliances as a full-time employed technician
  • A clean and valid driver's license
  • The ability to lift up to 50 lbs on their own, lift more weight with assistance or leverage device
  • Proficient in connecting water and gas lines and checking for leaks
  • Excellent service and customer care skills
  • Mechanical skills and a willingness to learn new things
  • The ability to work well under pressure and respond in a professional and courteous manner in all situations

K&A Appliance has been family-owned since 1976. We specialize in buying predominately new, but scratch and dent appliances from various manufacturers and selling them on both wholesale and retail levels. We are committed to providing excellent service and customer care to our customers.

What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary of $30.00 per hour
  • A comprehensive benefits package, including paid vacation time, sign-on bonus, paid holidays, and 401(k) retirement plan with 100% company match up to 5% of pay
  • Overtime pay for weeks exceeding 40 hours
  • Paid weekly by direct deposit
