As a Retail Operations Leader, you will oversee the operational strategies to drive sales and profitability while safeguarding our resources. Your leadership will ensure a well-merchandised and adequately stocked store by managing inventory processes effectively. You will guide a team of skilled associates to provide an exceptional customer-centric shopping experience, delivering friendly and attentive service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Store Manager in planning and executing store workload schedules.
  • Assist in leading adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company initiatives to ensure compliance with applicable regulations; uphold Company policies and standards; hold the team accountable for store performance and conditions.
  • Participate in the unloading and stocking processes to meet truck standards within budget.
  • Achieve personal and team Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Oversee visual merchandising standards and execution of promotional displays and seasonal layouts.
  • Manage inventory control processes within the store.
  • Oversee merchandise operations and Omni-channel processes.
  • Implement shrink reduction and safety programs.
  • Train, mentor, and coach team members to achieve performance goals; engage in the performance management process; support talent development; utilize leadership competencies for ongoing self-improvement.
  • Foster a respectful and positive work environment; maintain professionalism even in challenging situations; promote commitment to the organization's vision and values; serve as a role model for others.
  • Act as Manager on Duty (MOD).
  • Engage with customers, assist in locating products, and provide effective solutions.
  • Cross-train in Custom Framing sales and production.
  • Assist with Omni-channel operations.
Additional Responsibilities:

Preferred Experience:
  • Previous experience in retail management and leadership.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to navigate throughout the store.
  • Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
  • Capability to lift heavy items and access high shelves using ladders or similar equipment.

Work Environment:
  • Public retail setting focused on customer service; all public areas are climate-controlled; some stock areas may not be climate-controlled; potential outdoor tasks may include retrieving shopping carts or unloading trucks; the frame shop includes glass cutting and heat press equipment; work hours may include evenings, weekends, and early mornings.
