Job Summary

As a Bakery Department Lead at Sam's Club, you will be responsible for driving sales in your area and supervising a team of hourly associates to deliver exceptional customer service and meet business objectives. You will model expertise in bakery operations and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets the member's expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be a Team Leader: Supervise and motivate a team of associates to achieve sales and service goals, while maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
  • Be an Expert: Maintain in-depth knowledge of bakery operations, including product specifications, seasonality, and quality control, to ensure the department meets company and regulatory standards.
  • Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement.
  • Be an Owner: Drive business results, ensuring commitment to operational excellence, and maintaining a neat, clean, and safe work area.
  • Be a Talent Ambassador: Develop and implement processes to meet business needs, while promoting and supporting compliance with company policies and standards.
Requirements
  • 6 months experience in a bakery production department or 6 months experience supervising a team.
  • Food Handler Certification (Food Safety) - Certification
