Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Grants Coordinator to join our team at the Town of Davie. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering grants for and received by the Town, overseeing the administration of grant funds in support of various departments, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research of available federal, state, and private foundation grants and disseminate the availability to appropriate departments.
  • Oversee grant administration in various departments, receiving, reviewing, preparing, and submitting grant applications, reports, and other documents.
  • Represent the Town at meetings with other government and private entities regarding information about grants.
  • Assist departments with maintenance of grant files and monitor and ensure compliance of grant expenditures.
  • Assist with preparation for Federal and State audits and site visits.
  • Prepare documents and make recommendations to Administration and various department heads about grant programs.
  • Provide technical assistance to departments in grant research, writing, and analysis.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with course work in business administration, accounting, public administration, grants administration, advanced English/writing, or a related field.
  • Three years of responsible experience in grants administration.
  • Additional qualifying experience beyond the three (3) years may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
  • Must possess a valid Class "E" State of Florida driver's license.
Benefits
  • Health Insurance: 100% paid by the Town for single coverage, 50% paid by the Town for dependents.
  • Schedule: 4 day work week - 10 hours per day (Monday-Thursday).
  • Leave: 13 days per year, sick leave hours accrued per pay period, vacation leave - accrue 2 weeks per year, accrual rate increases every 5 years (capped at 4 weeks after 10 years of service), birthday leave - 1 day per year after successfully passing probation, quality service - 1 day per year after successfully passing probation and other conditions, wellness days - 2 days per year after successfully passing probation.
  • Pension/Retirement: Town Sponsored Pension - mandatory 3% contributions per pay period, 457 Deferred Compensation Plan - employee is entitled to make voluntary contributions through the payroll to the Town sponsored 457 deferred compensation plan only.
