Veterinary Hospital Receptionist

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team at The Animal Hospital. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing patient flow, and ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for our clients and their pets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Check-in and discharge patients, process invoices, and handle payments
- Provide top-notch customer service, including greeting clients, answering questions, and processing incoming patients
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and record messages for doctors and staff
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and email
- Update and file patient charts, enter data into our computerized billing program, and retrieve prescriptions
- Assist with pet supply purchases, maintain the cleanliness of the waiting room, and engage in retail sales
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or relevant education and work experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong organizational and technical skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Effective communication skills
