Job Summary

The Regional Pharmacist will play a critical role in assisting customers with their healthcare needs and maximizing health outcomes by filling prescriptions, providing clinical services, advising on therapies, and delivering excellent customer service. This position requires frequent independent judgments and adherence to Rite Aid's brand and strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage customers seeking guidance on pharmacological and non-pharmacological options for health condition management using provided clinical tools.
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services based on state regulations, including adherence support, immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), point-of-care testing (POCT), diagnostic testing, and prescriptive authority.
  • Leverage products and services to benefit the customer and build profitable retail business and script growth.
  • Ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions filled, completing Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance.
  • Provide patient care with in-person, telephonic, or digital means, collaborating with providers and patient care teams focused on patient health and wellness outcomes.
  • Assist the Pharmacy Manager with supervision of the pharmacy, providing leadership to pharmacy associates and supervising the completion of their training.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (BS Pharm) required; Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred.
  • Pharmacist License in the state practicing pharmacy required.
  • Immunization Certification required.
  • CPR Certification required.
