Emergency Room Nurse Specialist

At TotalMed Staffing, we're seeking an experienced Emergency Room Nurse to join our team in Altoona, Pennsylvania. This is a 91-day assignment with a competitive salary of $1,670.20 per week.
About the RoleAs an Emergency Room Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities will include assessing and treating patients, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, and ensuring efficient delivery of emergency care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide rapid assessment and treatment to patients with emergent medical conditions in a dynamic emergency room setting.
- Administer medications, perform procedures, and collaborate with the healthcare team to stabilize patients and achieve optimal outcomes.
- Monitor patient vital signs, response to treatment, and changes in condition, adjusting care plans as needed to address emergent needs.
- Advocate for patients' needs and coordinate care transitions, including admissions to inpatient units or referrals to specialty services.
- Educate patients and their families on post-emergency care instructions, follow-up appointments, and community resources for ongoing support.
- Current RN license
- BLS certification (other certifications may be required by the facility)
- Two years of recent ER RN experience
- Strong communication and adaptability skills
