Join Day Kimball Healthcare as a Respiratory Therapist and be part of a team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care.
Job Summary:Under the supervision of the Respiratory Clinical Manager, the Respiratory Therapist will perform a variety of respiratory procedures, including aerosol therapy, ABG's, oxygen therapy, ventilator care, and overnight oximetry. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively under stress, and prioritize workload to make appropriate decisions.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform respiratory procedures, including aerosol therapy, ABG's, oxygen therapy, ventilator care, and overnight oximetry.
- Clinical assessment on all patients on respiratory services with appropriate recommendations to attending or ordering physicians.
- Actively participate in department inservice educational programs.
- Flexible and willing to rotate shifts or work odd schedules as needed.
- Orients new employees and/or students to department as requested.
- Participates in department projects and programs as requested.
- Current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certification or equivalent within 3 months of hire required.
- Currently licensed in the state of Connecticut required.
- Certificate of Respiratory Therapy required, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC preferred.
