JD - The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing professional respiratory care through assessment, clinical judgment, treatment and instruction to any population group in need. Also, responsible for providing certain cardiac and diagnostic procedures that will assist in providing quality care to the patient. Other duties as assigned.

Education: Associates degree or higher required. Holds a current national credential for Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) unless received credentials prior to year 2002, then is not required. Holds a current Tennessee Registered Respiratory Therapist license or Certified Respiratory Therapist license.
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP are required unless PRN employee and NRP is desired, but not required for initial hire.
Experience: Hospital experience with medical/surgical, pediatric, neonatal and critical care patients preferred. Supervisory experience preferred. Additional skills in ECG and other diagnostic procedures.
