Job Summary

As a Transmission Utility Forester with Environmental Consultants (ECI), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and reliable delivery of electric power to communities across the country. Your expertise in forestry and vegetation management will be essential in maintaining the integrity of our power lines and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement vegetation management plans to prevent tree encroachment on power lines
  • Conduct danger tree assessments and supervise removals to ensure public safety
  • Work with landowners and farmers to clear rights-of-way and develop vegetation management plans for their properties
  • Collaborate with utility engineers to assist with infrastructure upgrades and new construction
  • Perform QA/QC inspections on completed vegetation management work to ensure quality and safety standards are met
Requirements
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Forestry or a related field
  • 1-5 years of experience in utility forestry or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of forestry principles, vegetation management, and safety protocols
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
