Marcum LLP is in search of an Audit Operations Manager to join our expanding and reputable national firm in our Philadelphia office. This individual will oversee audit engagements with minimal supervision from the Partner. Act as a role model and leader for staff to follow. Meet billable hours expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate various planning stages of engagements and ensure timely completion of work.
  • Develop budgets and maintain profitable realization rates.
  • Review and assess work papers for compliance with professional standards and firm policies.
  • Evaluate reports and financial statements.
  • Discuss significant findings with the engagement partner that may raise questions regarding auditing standards and firm policies.
  • Manage risk and ensure quality control measures are being followed.
  • Participate in practice development and oversee multiple engagements.
  • Assume responsibility for billing and collections when appropriate.
  • Foster and maintain positive working relationships with client management.
  • Provide on-the-job training to junior staff.
  • Generate new business opportunities for both new and existing clients.
  • Represent the firm by presenting expertise at third-party events.
  • Effectively manage expectations of employees and clients.
  • Conduct performance evaluations constructively and in a timely manner, providing ongoing feedback to team members.
  • Maintain required annual Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits.
Qualifications:
  • BBA/BS/MS in Accounting.
  • Must hold a valid CPA license.
  • 7-11 years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and tax regulations.
  • Ability to clearly communicate professional and technical knowledge.
  • Strong business advisory skills.
  • Ability to decisively identify and implement solutions to challenges.
  • Thorough comprehension of complex technical issues.
  • Capacity to meet deadlines with precision.
