Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic

Knife River Northwest is seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Equipment/Truck Mechanic to join our team in Salem, Oregon. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing construction trucks and equipment, including hydraulic repair, brake work, electrical repairs, and welding.
Responsibilities:- Maintain and repair construction trucks and equipment
- Perform service repairs in the field
- Work on a wide variety of units, including small fleet vehicles, class 8 trucks/trailers, construction equipment, and large mining machines
- Complete all necessary paperwork
- Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Previous mechanical experience on class 8 trucks, trailers, and equipment
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Welding and fabrication experience desirable
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check, physical/functional exam, and drug screen
