Counseling referrals will be accepted from parents or school personnel, with all services provided in person on the educational campus, typically lasting between 30 to 45 minutes and encompassing various formats including individual, small group, full-class, or emergency interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Individual and Group Counseling: Facilitate both individual and group counseling sessions to address a spectrum of emotional, behavioral, and academic challenges faced by students.
  2. Collaborative Consultation: Work in partnership with school staff, educators, and parents to devise strategies that support the emotional and social development of students.
  3. IEP Engagement: Actively participate in IEP meetings for students with special education needs, particularly those referred due to behavioral issues.
  4. Documentation of Services: Keep comprehensive records of services rendered to each student, detailing session content, progress, and outcomes.
  5. Progress Monitoring: Generate quarterly reports for each student receiving counseling, summarizing their progress and areas for improvement.

  9. Diverse Session Formats: Conduct counseling sessions that may vary in format, including one-on-one, small group, full-class, or emergency interventions as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Counseling, School Counseling, or a related discipline.
  • State licensure or certification as a School Counselor.
  • Experience in providing counseling services within an educational environment.
