Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician will carry out a range of repair, maintenance, and cleaning duties to ensure a safe and pleasant living environment for residents. The goal is to support residents in maintaining their independence and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintenance and Repairs:
    Assist the supervisor in preparing vacant units for new residents.
  • Support painting and minor repair tasks as directed.
  • Participate in special projects, such as floor maintenance.
  • Assist with plumbing and electrical repairs as needed.

Dress Code:
The Maintenance Technician is expected to wear the company uniform and adhere to the dress code policy, maintaining a professional appearance at all times.

Additional Duties:

  • Collaborate with team members to uphold a high standard of care and communication with residents.
  • Work effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth operations.
  • Share relevant information regarding resident needs and progress in line with WSFSSH's confidentiality policies.
  • Attend required training sessions to enhance job skills.
  • Implement emergency procedures when necessary.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Assist with other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: At least 1 year of experience working with dependent individuals.
  • Preferred: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as a handyman.
  • Preferred: Strong skills in maintenance and repair.
  • Preferred: Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Able to thrive in a diverse and multicultural environment.
  • Capable of fulfilling job responsibilities effectively.
