This role involves delivering general medical assistance under the supervision of a licensed healthcare provider in an outpatient clinic environment. The position is associated with a franchised business location.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather patient vitals, medical history, and reason for visit, and prepare the patient for examination
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all ordered tests
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to established protocols
- Collect blood samples and prepare labs for processing
- Conduct laboratory tests, maintain lab-quality controls, and perform equipment upkeep as per guidelines
- Respond to laboratory messages and callback requests
- Execute drug screening procedures in compliance with regulations
- Document and administer patient immunizations as per protocols
- Prepare examination rooms; sterilize instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation
- Certification as an AMT-registered and AAMA Certified Medical Assistant is mandatory.
- A minimum of two years of experience is preferred.
