Position Overview

We invite you to join our team supporting the US Space Force (HQ USSF) COMSATCOM Office. Our mission is to deliver high-quality, comprehensive, and diverse expert support services to implement and integrate a transformative COMSATCOM business model within a broader SATCOM enterprise framework. We are looking for a Senior SATCOM Engineer (Systems Engineer Technical Lead) to guide a team providing hands-on assistance to the acquisition, business, engineering, operational, and administrative needs of various COMSATCOM clients and requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Offer SATCOM expertise regarding COMSATCOM (CSC) technologies, including managed and transponder bandwidth, multi-orbit constellations, and innovative technologies.
  • Assist in formulating a new Department-wide CSC acquisition strategy, providing CSC expertise and technical insights to senior leadership and acquisition professionals.
  • Engage in government and commercial reviews, symposia, and industry technology conferences to ensure the adoption of cutting-edge technology strategies.
  • Conduct assessments of technologies, market research, and analysis of CSC systems.
  • Develop and review engineering documentation related to CSC architectures.
  • Be capable of fulfilling all CSC mission functions, engineering complex solutions, and creating corresponding acquisition documentation from initiation through award.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience.
  • Possession of a Secret clearance is mandatory.
  • Proven leadership abilities with a track record of guiding diverse teams.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring capabilities.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills suitable for executive-level interactions.
  • A collaborative team player with the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide and receive constructive feedback in a results-driven environment.
  • Availability to support client sites as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a related scientific field.
  • Extensive experience in SATCOM, with a solid understanding of COMSATCOM trends, technologies, and business models.
  • Experience in supporting DoD systems engineering and acquisition initiatives.
  • TS/SCI clearance is preferred.
