About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Memorial Hermann Health System. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Inpatient Imaging Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Radiography Exams: Conduct radiography exams on patients, ensuring compliance with all radiation safety procedures, including preparing patients for exams, obtaining and recording vital signs, explaining procedures, administering IV and contrast when necessary, positioning patients for exams, selecting appropriate imaging techniques, and ensuring technical quality of images.
  • Enter and Monitor Patient Data: Accurately enter and monitor patient data, including vital signs and exam results.
  • Perform Quality Assurance: Conduct quality assurance on radiology equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Assist with Accreditation: Assist with initial and renewal applications for accreditation and other regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and Report Incidents: Identify and report any accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to department management.
  • Take Emergency Calls: Take emergency calls within the department and may be required to work weekends and float to other locations as needed.
  • Administer Breath Alcohol Tests and Urine Drug Screens: Administer breath alcohol tests and/or urine drug screens as required.
  • Perform Patient Registration Tasks: May be required to perform patient registration tasks, including verifying insurance, collecting payments, etc.
  • Ensure Safe Care: Ensure safe care to patients, staff, and visitors, adhering to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications.
  • Promote Professional Growth: Promote individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency, supporting department-based goals that contribute to the success of the organization.
  • Model Service Standards: Demonstrate commitment to caring for every member of our community by creating compassionate and personalized experiences, modeling Memorial Hermann's service standards by providing safe, caring, personalized, and efficient experiences to patients and colleagues.
