We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Memorial Hermann Health System. This is a full-time, weekend shift position in our Inpatient Imaging Department.
Key Responsibilities- Perform radiography (x-ray) exams on patients, ensuring compliance with all radiation safety procedures.
- Prepare patients for exams, obtain and record vital signs, explain procedures, and position patients for optimal imaging.
- Enter and monitor patient data, perform quality assurance on radiology equipment, and identify/report any accidents or equipment malfunctions.
- Assist with initial and renewal applications for accreditation, and take emergency calls within the department.
- Administer breath alcohol tests and/or urine drug screens, and perform patient registration tasks as needed.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
- Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support.
- Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT).
- Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R).
