As a Coating Technician at Walther Arms, Inc., you will play a crucial role in the preparation and application of coatings on various components. Your expertise will ensure that all parts meet the highest standards of quality and cleanliness.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate the sandblasting equipment, washing stations, and construct fixtures for all items prior to coating.
  • Ensure that all components are properly packaged for production or distribution.
  • Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the facility and equipment, while also being open to additional responsibilities as assigned.
  • Execute a comprehensive range of tasks associated with the role, including the more complex aspects of the job.
  • Provide training to new staff on all operational processes.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on the internal coating chamber.
  • Possess a general understanding of the coating industry, including various coating techniques and machinery.
  • Engage in necessary training sessions, which may include travel for further education.
  • Perform other tasks as directed by the Production Manager or Coating Specialist.
Qualifications
  • Ability to meet physical demands, including standing for extended periods.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination with a keen attention to detail.
  • Occasional lifting of items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Fundamental knowledge of hand tools and operational understanding of sandblasting and washing equipment.

Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday from 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM

Compensation: Starting pay at $15 per hour ($14 base + $1 shift differential)
