This role encompasses all technical facets of process innovation initiatives, from research inception to full-scale production capability, including all project milestones, process development, performance specifications, budget management, and scheduling.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate all elements of projects from concept ideation, 3D CAD modeling, quoting, implementation, to commercialization.
  • Formulate and align on project economics, value assessments, and business cases.
  • Explore and devise innovative process and part handling solutions through collaboration with project teams and senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with the pilot plant on the installation and initiation of prototype systems.
  • Partner with plant operations teams on the installation and initiation of systems.
  • Empowered to execute projects to achieve desired outcomes, with the authority to influence team behaviors necessary for accountability.
  • Must demonstrate assertiveness, creativity, and a data-driven approach to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget while practicing intelligent risk management in consultation with team members, peers, and senior leadership.
  • Accountable for timely reporting of deviations in time, cost, and deliverable components to senior management as projects progress.
  • Ensure compliance with Berry, industry, and regulatory standards.
  • Uphold and enforce all company safety, environmental, and health department requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
  • Minimum of four years of experience in manufacturing and design, including part handling, automation, plastics processing, and familiarity with controls.
  • Proficient in 2D design and 3D CAD modeling software.
  • Previous experience in a product or process innovation setting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities essential for data-driven project management.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, think innovatively, and maintain a results-oriented focus.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated individual.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
