Job Summary

The Oroville Hospital is seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our nursing staff.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control principles and ensuring patient safety.
  • Provide basic nursing care to patients, including vital sign monitoring, medication administration, and wound care.
  • Assist with patient transfers, arranging transportation, and preparing patients for procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, using excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Document patient information accurately and efficiently, using electronic health records.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care, responding to emergencies and providing support as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Current certification in a relevant healthcare field, such as Certified Nurse Aide, Medical Assistant, or Emergency Medical Technician.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse patient populations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
