Job Summary:

As a Senior Investigator, you will be responsible for conducting advanced investigations and inspections of unregulated child care facilities in accordance with state regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough investigations and inspections of unregulated child care facilities to ensure compliance with state regulations.
  • Initiate investigations of unregulated facilities and oversee the follow-up on high-risk operations to ensure closure.
  • Establish priorities and methods for securing evidence of unregulated child care operations and prepare and process exemptions to determine whether applicants meet required criteria.
  • Oversee the preparation of documents regarding compliance or noncompliance with standards and notify child care providers of required enforcement actions.
  • Provide training and technical assistance to child care providers on issues related to minimum standards, rules, and laws.
  • Lead community efforts as the regional community engagement specialist and participate in activities to inform the public and stakeholders about unregulated child care operations.

Requirements:
  • Regulatory experience in compliance with law, rules, and policy.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to strategically plan and manage outcomes covering a large geographic area.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
  • Ability to analyze and use data to improve outcomes.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate independent judgment.
