VitalCore Health Strategies, a leading provider of correctional healthcare services, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Johnson County Correctional Facilities in New Century and Olathe, Kansas.

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse with VitalCore Health Strategies, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients while working in a dynamic and supportive environment. Your primary responsibilities will include providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with our interdisciplinary team, and promoting a culture of respect and compassion.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional patient care, adhering to the highest standards of quality and safety
  • Collaborate with our healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Conduct thorough assessments, administer medications, and monitor patients for reactions and side effects
  • Record accurate and detailed patient information, including vital signs and medical history
  • Consult with healthcare professionals to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans
  • Modify patient treatment plans as needed, based on patient responses and conditions
  • Monitor patient progress, identifying and addressing any concerns or issues
  • Direct or supervise less-skilled nursing or healthcare personnel, as needed
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment
  • Active CPR certification
  • Knowledge of specific state laws and regulations governing practice
  • Satisfactory completion of initial and annual clinical competencies
