AEG is seeking a seasoned engineering leader to oversee the management of its venues.

About the Role:

  • Manage all aspects of venue operations, including preventative maintenance, staff training, and capital improvement projects.
  • Lead a team of engineers and ensure the delivery of high-quality services to meet business objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and Operations:
    • Oversee preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.
    • Directly manage work orders for facility systems, ensuring timely completion and effective resource allocation.
    • Provide guidance and training to staff on completing PMs and work orders.
  • Capital Projects:
    • Assist in developing and maintaining Capital Improvement Project reports and recommendations.
    • Work closely with senior leadership to prioritize and implement strategic capital projects.
  • Sustainability and Compliance:
    • Identify and recommend sustainability projects to improve environmental performance and reduce costs.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for engineering and maintenance practices.
  • Leadership and Development:
    • Foster a culture of innovation, teamwork, and continuous learning among engineering staff.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of prior experience in a management role in facilities/engineering, preferably in an arena environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) and familiarity with arena operations.
  • Prior work in an arena that has combined two sports, preferably basketball and hockey, is highly desirable.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
