RN - Hospice Care Specialist

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in our Hospice Care team, you'll play a vital role in delivering compassionate and personalized care to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide quality nursing care to patients through the nursing process, patient and family education, and documentation.
- Supervise and direct LPNs, CNAs, Unit Secretaries, and Volunteers to ensure quality care and a safe working environment.
- Participate in the Compliance and Performance Improvement program to maintain or improve the quality of patient care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement a patient-directed individualized plan of care.
- At least one year of staff nurse experience in a comparable setting/unit.
- Hospice and/or palliative care experience is strongly preferred.
- Licensure from the governing body for practice for the District of Columbia, State of Maryland, and/or the Commonwealth of Virginia, based on the state/jurisdiction of practice; or licensure from compact state.
- Healthcare Provider BLS (CPR) certification required to practice in State of Maryland and the District of Columbia.
This position requires consent to drug and/or alcohol testing after a conditional offer of employment is made, as well as ongoing compliance with the Drug-Free Workplace Policy.
