Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team as a Hospice Care Assistant. As a CNA, you will provide personal care services to patients in their homes, applying safety principles and proper body mechanics to ensure the highest level of care.

Responsibilities
  • Provides personal care services to patients, including ambulation, transferring, and assisting with normal range of motion and positioning.
  • Plans and prepares nutritious meals, assists with feeding, and performs homemaking and other environmental services as assigned.
  • Observes, reports, and documents any changes in patient's status, and follows specific written instructions for personal care prepared by a registered nurse.
  • Assists patients with prescribed exercises as instructed by nurse or therapist, and performs and records simple urine tests for sugar, acetone, and albumin.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current state certification (or registration) as a nurse assistant as per state certification/registration requirements.
  • CNA experience within the last two years.
  • Current CPR certification.
