Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team at Northwestern Memorial Healthcare. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide basic patient care activities, including vital sign monitoring, blood glucose measurements, and intake/output recording.
  • Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, and eating.
  • Report abnormal findings or changes in patient condition to nursing staff.
  • Maintain patient rooms in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, organization, and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Nursing students who have completed one clinical rotation.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, or nursing school students with one semester of clinical completed.
  • CPR - Basic Life Support via American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Phlebotomy experience.
  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Assistant program or Graduate of Phlebotomy course.
