Histology Technician

Gastro Health is seeking a highly skilled Histology Technician to join our team. As a Histology Technician, you will be responsible for preparing reagents, complying with safety regulations, and performing routine histology procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of reagents and maintenance of laboratory supplies
- Compliance with all safety regulations and handling of biohazards and chemically hazardous materials
- Performance of routine histology procedures, including accessioning, cover slipping, and staining
- Maintenance of laboratory equipment and troubleshooting of complex automated equipment
- Quality control and quality assurance of laboratory tests and procedures
Requirements:
- Associates or Bachelor of Science in biology or related field
- HT or HTL certification by ASCP
- Previous experience as a histotech preferred
- Ability to establish work priorities and handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
