Support Professional for Individuals with Disabilities

About the Role
As a Direct Support Professional at UCP Central PA, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities. Our team is passionate about empowering people to live a meaningful life through innovative support and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with disabilities in building self-esteem and independence through everyday decision-making.
- Develop and carry out individualized plans based on individual preferences, needs, and interests.
- Provide direct care skills such as personal care and hygiene, and teach daily living skills.
- Assist with adaptive equipment and therapies, and explore work interests with the individual.
- Arrange and supervise activities, including shopping trips, social outings, and doctor's appointments.
Requirements
- A valid driver's license and 6 months of driving experience.
- Access to a vehicle with valid insurance, registration, and inspection.
- 18 years of age.
- A team player who can be flexible with their schedule.
- Ability to communicate, read, write, and understand the English language.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Personal Care Aide, Caregiver, Direct Support Professional, or Direct Care Worker.
- Knowledge of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or autism.
