The Role

As a Facilities Maintenance Specialist, you will elevate your maintenance expertise while contributing to the creation of outstanding living environments. • Diagnosing and resolving issues in various systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, major appliances, carpentry, emergency systems, flooring, hardware, masonry, painting, and waste management.
• Completing service requests and repairs in alignment with company standards and timelines.
• Preparing vacant apartments for new residents efficiently and effectively.
• Conducting preventative maintenance for apartments.
• Assisting with both interior and exterior painting tasks.
• Upholding a culture of safety by adhering to all safety policies and procedures, and reporting any unsafe conditions.
• Performing hot work tasks such as brazing, soldering, and welding according to company standards.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess:
• 2-3 years of experience in maintenance, with a strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repair work.
• A valid driver's license.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation with the maintenance team.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents and team members.
• Ability to comprehend and apply company policies and procedures.
• Familiarity with cleaning and chemical supplies, including understanding safety data sheets and proper handling procedures.
• Knowledge of personal protective equipment (PPE) and its proper use.
• Basic understanding of emergency systems and their operations.
• Familiarity with various paint types and application tools.
