Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced JAG Career Coach to join our team at Equus. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive program of classroom, work-based, and community-based activities designed to help students achieve personal and program goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive program of classroom, work-based, and community-based activities to help students achieve personal and program goals.
  • Teaching and Instruction: Teach classes of the Jobs for America's Graduates (JAG) curriculum in the assigned high school daily, using current and effective teaching methods to teach and instruct students.
  • Classroom Management: Develop and implement classroom lesson plans incorporating the JAG curriculums along with supplemental materials, activities, and guest speakers to ensure students achieve specific JAG competencies.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Assess each student's educational and employment preparedness and administer required testing and assessments.
  • Case Management: Provide case management services, guidance, support, tutoring, and referral to other community partners when appropriate, to ensure students stay in high school and complete graduation requirements.
  • Data Management: Input data into multiple database systems and maintain case files, monitoring and maintaining program and participants data and records.

  • Strong assessment and evaluation skills
