Job Summary

As a key member of our Operations team at Conagra Brands, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of sanitation and hygiene across our facilities. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive sanitation programs, procedures, and protocols to maintain a clean and sterile environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain plant sanitation programs and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and maintenance, to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Manage and oversee the sanitation crew, providing training and guidance to ensure effective execution of sanitation tasks.
  • Conduct regular plant inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain the plant Master Cleaning Schedule (MCS), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs), and Environmental Swabbing Program.
  • Work closely with other departments to drive continuous improvement of sanitation team performance and processes.
  • Report any food safety issues or concerns to management.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of experience in sanitation or a related field, preferably in the food industry.
  • Experience with Food Safety Guidelines/Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safe practices and procedures.
  • Understanding of government regulations (FDA, USDA) and industry standards.
  • Familiarity with Clean In Place (CIP) and Clean Out Place (COP) systems.
  • Knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles.
  • Large organization/corporate experience preferred.
