About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join our eVinci Reactor Integration & Analysis team at Westinghouse Electric Company. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing reactor design and integration activities across the eVinci program, facilitating decision-making to accelerate technical progress, and identifying and defining technical issues, risks, and challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform reactor design and integration activities across the eVinci program.
  • Facilitate decision-making to accelerate technical progress across the reactor design and analysis groups.
  • Identify and define technical issues, risks, and challenges, direct efforts to successful resolution.
  • Lead key technical teams, providing oversight while delegating work and mentoring team members.
  • Interface with stakeholders on design progress, technical issues, cost, and schedule.
  • Provide technical guidance, direction, and collaborate with other personnel including partners such as national laboratories, sub-contractors, partners, suppliers, fabricators, and customers.
Requirements
  • BS in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering, MS in Engineering is preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in reactor, system, or layout design preferred.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects and tasks.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience required.
