Gatesource HR is partnering with a client in the heavy equipment industry to find a Director of IT who will lead the company's technological direction. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring technological innovation aligns with business objectives and implementing effective technological solutions.
The position is remote with occasional travel to Mexico. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technology and leadership, with experience in developing and executing technology strategies.
- Develop and execute the technology strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's vision and mission.
- Lead research and evaluation of new technologies, identifying opportunities for technological innovation or improvement of products and services.
- Oversee the planning and execution of software and technology development projects to enhance customer experience.
- Define and maintain the technological architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency of systems.
- Collaborate closely with other business leaders, as well as internal teams and external vendors.
- Attract, develop, and retain technical talent, building strong and efficient teams.
- Ensure information security and the integrity of technological systems.
- Identify and manage technological risks, anticipating potential issues and proposing solutions.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant postgraduate degrees or certifications are valued.
- Experience: Significant experience in technical leadership roles, preferably in technology or innovative companies.
- Technical Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of software development, technological architectures, agile methodologies, and emerging technological trends.
- Management Skills: Proven skills in managing projects, teams, and technical resources.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to clearly translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Negotiable, depending on experience and qualifications.
