Job Description
GateSource HR is partnering with a client in the heavy equipment industry looking for a Director of I.T who will be the strategic leader responsible for overseeing the company's technological direction. The main responsibility is to ensure technological innovation aligns with business objectives, leading the effective implementation of technological solutions.

The company's headquarters are located in Mexico, and the position is remote with occasional travel to Mexico.

  • Develop and execute the technology strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's vision and mission.
  • Lead research and evaluation of new technologies, identifying opportunities for technological innovation or improvement of products and services.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of software and technology development projects to enhance customer experience.
  • Define and maintain the technological architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency of systems.
  • Collaborate closely with other business leaders, as well as internal teams and external vendors.
  • Attract, develop, and retain technical talent, building strong and efficient teams.
  • Ensure information security and the integrity of technological systems.
  • Identify and manage technological risks, anticipating potential issues and proposing solutions.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant postgraduate degrees or certifications are valued.
  • Experience: Significant experience in technical leadership roles, preferably in technology or innovative companies.
  • Technical Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of software development, technological architectures, agile methodologies, and emerging technological trends.
  • Management Skills: Proven skills in managing projects, teams, and technical resources.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to clearly translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
