Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CT Technologist 2 PD to join our team at Rush. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for coordinating and performing CT examinations, ensuring the efficient operation of the department and promoting high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and perform CT examinations, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
  • Assess patient conditions and determine proper handling and special requirements.
  • Explain and prepare patients for CT procedures, ensuring their comfort and understanding.
  • Operate complex CT equipment, selecting technical factors to ensure high-quality scans.
  • Maintain equipment and CT rooms in proper working condition, reporting malfunctions and necessary repairs.
  • Administer agents to render specific organs or systems more opaque, as required.
  • Utilize proper aseptic technique and isolation procedures when necessary.
  • Organize patient care and set priorities, providing critical care first and implementing physician orders.
  • Be available for on-call status after normal working hours.
  • Competently use PACS, CR, and EPIC systems.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Program.
  • Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
  • Registered by the ARRT.
  • Current Active Illinois State License.
  • CT Registered.
  • Ability to deal efficiently and courteously with all hospital personnel.
  • Verbal and written skills necessary to facilitate communication with a variety of personnel.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
Physical Demands/Abilities
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs and greater for 30% of the work day.
  • Visually and physically able to do computer work 90% of the work day.
