Job Summary
A Senior Nurse Practitioner with clinical leadership skills is required to provide high-quality patient care in an inpatient, clinic, physician office, outpatient and/or other facility settings. As a key member of the healthcare team, you will be responsible for administering nursing care using good judgment, methods, and skills under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Physician.

About the Role
This position involves observing, monitoring, and recording physiological measurements, providing treatment to patients per organizational protocols, assisting providers with patient examinations, therapeutic measures, and procedures, assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patients and plans of care. You will identify and provide physical, emotional, and developmental patient needs, provide health education to patients and their families, explaining the procedures planned for the patient, and ensure strict administration, control, and dispensation of prescription medication in accordance with organizational policy.

Responsibilities
You will notify the appropriate provider promptly of unusual reactions and changes in conditions, perform functions of a Surgical Scheduler as needed and requested, initiate, issue and verify patient referrals and insurance authorization/pre-certifications as necessary, safeguard and inventory equipment and supplies, follow Universal Precautions and Infection Control Procedures, establish communication with appropriate sources in response to emergency situations, participate in performance improvement activities, staff trainings, weekly team huddles, maintain a professional appearance and a clean, safe environment, respect patients by recognizing their rights; maintaining confidentiality, utilize technology, including specialized software as applicable, to maximize productivity, develop and maintain electronic files as necessary, exhibit excellent interpersonal skills; provide customer service; assist other support staff as necessary; collaborate with all levels of internal leadership, management, and staff as well as outside clients, vendors, and other external parties.

Requirements
This role requires a minimum three (3) years of nursing experience, graduate degree from an accredited licensed practical nurse program, current New York State LPN license, Maintenance of current Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for HealthCare Workers or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification for HealthCare workers, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point).
