As a Parts Counter Associate II at Nalley Honda, you will have the chance to positively influence our operations and the lives of our team members and customers daily. We seek dynamic, customer-oriented Parts Counter Associates II who will assist us in redefining the automotive purchasing experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers (both retail and shop) in selecting necessary parts in a courteous, professional, and efficient manner.
- Inform customers about companion part requirements while ensuring they are aware of the complete product range.
- Handle incoming phone calls and counter inquiries, providing price quotes and additional information as needed.
- Review body shop estimates to ensure the accuracy of ordered parts and alignment with pricing.
- Pull and fulfill orders from inventory.
- Notify the parts manager of any out-of-stock items or urgent shop materials.
- Inform relevant parties when special orders have arrived.
- Ensure all parts are tagged with customer names and job numbers.
- Adhere to departmental policies regarding special orders and manage aging of special orders.
- Follow up on back-ordered parts and replenish assigned inventory daily.
- Maintain a timely and efficient flow of paperwork.
- Ensure all internal parts requests are billed correctly on service repair orders.
- Verify will-call and back-order files weekly and manage returns to vendors or stock items not picked up.
- Process payments from retail customers or obtain credit authorizations.
- Assist outside sales representatives with their orders.
- Exhibit excellent communication and customer service skills while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Demonstrate the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Possess strong computer and phone skills (Internet, MS Outlook); proficiency in CDK is a plus.
- A degree in automotive technology or equivalent military experience is preferred.
- Being bilingual is advantageous.
- Must be at least eighteen years of age and possess a valid Driver's License.
- Must successfully pass pre-employment screening (background and drug test).
