About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). As a Senior Ultrasound Sonographer, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our medical center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic sonograms to demonstrate anatomy and pathology for interpretation
  • Obtain patient clinical information from requesting physicians and prepare patients for imaging
  • Prepare rooms and equipment for imaging and maintain RDMS credential(s) according to American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography's criteria
  • Meet physical requirements to perform all aspects of diagnostic sonography studies in inpatient and outpatient settings
Requirements
  • Graduate of a formal accredited ultrasound training program in an approved school
  • ARDMS credentials in Abdomen and OB/Gyn specialties at minimum
  • BLS - Basic Life Support
  • 2-5 years UCSF experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, or equivalent experience in a similar Ultrasound department at UCSF
