Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Ultrasound Sonographer to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic sonograms to demonstrate anatomy and pathology for interpretation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain patient clinical information from requesting physicians and prepare patients for imaging.
  • Prepare rooms and equipment prior to and after imaging.
  • Demonstrate self-critique of exams, recognizing sub-optimal techniques and equipment malfunctions.
  • Meet physical requirements to perform diagnostic sonography studies in inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Maintain RDMS credential(s) according to ARDMS criteria.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a formal accredited ultrasound training program.
  • Must have flexibility in scheduling, ability to rotate shifts, and coverage for weekends and holidays.
  • Requires ARDMS credentials in Abdomen and OB/Gyn specialties at minimum.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2-5 years experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or equivalent experience in a similar Ultrasound department.
  • Equivalent Senior Sonographer skills, as determined by the Section Chief and Section Supervisor.
