Responsibilities of a Certified Nursing Assistant
  • Provide nursing care to residents in post-acute facilities.
  • Follow and adhere to resident care plans.
  • Measure and monitor vital signs, reporting to your supervisor as necessary.
  • Observe and report any concerns to the broader nursing team.
  • Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as personal hygiene, mobility, and toileting.
  • Clean and sanitize surfaces, keep residents' rooms clean, and change linens.
  • Communicate with medical staff, residents, and visitors.
  • Move residents in and out of wheelchairs and beds, and reposition them as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Current Connecticut Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
  • Knowledge of medical terms and basic nursing care procedures.
  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
