Position Summary:
The Reliability Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and maintenance strategy of our utility and manufacturing equipment. This position focuses on the continuous assessment of equipment performance and the implementation of necessary improvements through Reliability-Centered Maintenance practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the technical lead to enhance equipment performance within the facility.
- Develop, implement, and sustain a comprehensive maintenance strategy for plant equipment.
- Continuously improve maintenance procedures, including preventive maintenance schedules, bill of materials, and spare parts management to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Propose and execute initiatives aimed at optimizing equipment performance in a fast-paced biotechnology environment.
- Provide engineering support to troubleshoot and resolve operational and compliance challenges, ensuring equipment reliability and longevity.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to classify equipment, manage asset information, and develop maintenance instructions.
Reliability Analysis and Improvement:
- Utilize reliability tools such as Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to drive improvements.
- Analyze maintenance data to recommend enhancements based on trends and reliability metrics.
- Monitor equipment performance to ensure the effectiveness of the maintenance program.
CMMS Management:
- Ensure the execution of preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Evaluate and implement new predictive technologies to enhance maintenance practices.
- Apply predictive maintenance technologies and non-destructive testing methods to minimize downtime.
Performance Monitoring:
- Measure and report on reliability performance metrics.
- Showcase the success of preventive maintenance initiatives through detailed reports and dashboards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
- Experience with various diagnostic techniques, including vibration analysis and infrared scanning.
Compliance and Continuous Improvement:
- Maintain compliance with safety programs and regulatory requirements.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance knowledge of industry best practices.
