Position Overview

VuePoint Diagnostics, LLC is a dynamic mobile imaging service seeking a Mobile Radiologic Technologist to enhance our operations in the Birmingham area.

In this role, you will deliver x-ray services across various community health environments, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, private residences, and more. As a mobile imaging professional, you will be equipped with a company vehicle and a cutting-edge portable digital x-ray system (DR).

This position offers a unique opportunity to work autonomously outside the conventional hospital setting, contributing to the growing movement of providing diagnostic imaging directly to patients in their homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for radiological procedures by positioning them appropriately and adjusting necessary equipment.
  • Ensure the quality and consistency of radiographs by adhering to established protocols and making adjustments as needed.
  • Practice radiation safety measures to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
  • Manage inventory of radiology supplies by monitoring stock levels and communicating needs to supervisors.
  • Document patient care services accurately in the Radiology Information System (RIS).

Qualifications:

  • ARRT (R) certification required or eligibility to obtain within a specified timeframe.
  • CPR certification preferred.
  • At least one year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist is advantageous.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Strong customer service skills are essential.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Internet Explorer, and Outlook is necessary for this role.

Work Environment:

  • Regular exposure to radiation risk is inherent in this position.
  • Frequent interaction with moving mechanical parts.
  • Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and electrical hazards.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to sit and/or drive for extended periods.
  • Occasional lifting or moving of items up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities include close, distance, and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception.
