About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to join our Minerals and Metals team in the US. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading site trouble shooting activities, supporting business development, and managing small projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead site trouble shooting activities to ensure efficient and effective problem-solving.
  • Support the business development group by interacting with clients and contributing to proposal development.
  • Manage small projects and act as Lead Process Engineer on site activities, projects, or studies as required.
  • Engage with clients on project setup and administration.
  • Define process scope and technologies to drive project success.
  • Provide and review all process deliverables to ensure high-quality results.
  • Undertake trade-off studies to resolve options and optimize project outcomes.
  • Identify, scope, and manage analysis and process test work for clients.
  • Conduct capacity analysis for existing plants to inform project decisions.
  • Provide training, guidance, and supervision to junior colleagues to ensure knowledge transfer and development.
Requirements
  • Metallurgical, Chemical, or Mineral Processing Engineering degree with ten or more years of experience.
  • 3+ years' experience in a supervisory role is preferred.
  • P.E. License or ability to become registered (not strictly required, although preferred).
  • Extensive design, commissioning, and/or operational experience of unit operations within minerals processing is highly preferred.
  • Experience in the scoping and management of metallurgical test work programs (bench scale, pilot scale, on-site testing) is preferred.
  • Experience in producing process deliverables and studies.
  • History of leadership on projects demonstrating ability to maintain budget and schedule.
  • History of working in a team environment with process and other disciplines either in an operating plant or at an engineering firm preferred.
  • Desire to commit to quality and excellence in all aspects of work.
