Job Summary

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Registered Pharmacist to support the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) facility. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of prescriptions and packages.

Responsibilities
  • Verify prescription orders for legend, OTC, Medical Surgical, and Controlled Substances to patients requiring care.
  • Assess drug orders and cross-match with medication presented at checking stations.
  • Pre-verify medications loaded into highly specialized mechanical apparatus to dispense medications into prescription bottles.
  • Complete verification and fill of controlled substance orders, including Schedules III, IV, and V.
  • Perform Quality Assurance functions and supervision of Pharmacy Technicians.
  • Follow CMOP policies regarding documentation and reports to meet VA and TJC policy.
  • Identify and report any unusual doses, wrong drug, wrong strength, or drug mix-up.
  • Provide full checking, labeling, and quality assurance within the guidance of the Department of Veterans Affairs regarding pharmaceutical medications.
  • Compound and dispense medications within corporate and regulatory guidelines for controlled substances.
Requirements
  • Licensed in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
  • Graduate of an American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) accredited school or university.
  • Licensed for controlled substances, with qualifications to practice in any states.
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills with co-workers and staff.
  • Basic typing skills, PC computer skills, and working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Fluent in English, with the ability to read, understand, speak, and write.
  • Able to pass VetPro certification.
  • Able to sit/stand for long periods of time (8-10 hours), and lift totes weighing up to 30 pounds repetitively.
