Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the deli department, by following company cleaning schedules and guidelines.
  • Operate slicing equipment to prepare meats and cheeses for customers, and package items with accurate pricing and labeling.
  • Prepare ready-to-eat foods to individual customer orders, and prepare platters of sliced meats, cheeses, and vegetables.
  • Adhere to company recipes and safety policies when preparing food, and maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • May operate cash register and handle customer transactions, following company policies and procedures.
  • Assist with inventory control, including receiving, unloading, and storing deliveries, and minimizing losses by returning products to refrigeration and following company recipes.
  • May assist with other duties as assigned, including baling cardboard and assisting with receiving and unloading deliveries.

Requirements

  • Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • No prior experience required.
