Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Internal Medicine Physician to join our team at Community Health Center of Snohomish County.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality medical care to patients of all ages, in accordance with the State of Washington Department of Licensing and professional scope of practice.
  • Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic medical services, making reasonable and sound medical assessments and treatment plans.
  • Obtain complete medical history and physical data from patients, interpreting and integrating data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Order laboratory and diagnostic procedures as needed, and interview and advise patients regarding health and illness prevention.
  • Recommend community resources to meet patient and family needs, and instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
  • Identify special needs of CHC patients and work with staff to address those needs, participating in Quality Improvement and Utilization Management programs and activities.
  • Document encounters in an accurate and timely manner, and provide therapeutic intervention following accepted guidelines or protocols.
  • Coordinate delivery of care with appropriate clinical staff to ensure quality of care is met, and adhere to attendance standards in order to perform the job functions for daily operations and/or continuity of patient care.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited School of Medicine or Osteopathy.
  • Completion of an accredited residency program in internal medicine or a related field.
  • Board eligible/Board certified by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) in Internal Medicine.
  • Physician license (MD/DO) with the State of Washington, and DEA controlled substances registration.
  • Hospital privileges, and Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CPR/AED) certification.
  • Successful completion of CHC's credentialing and privileging review upon hire and recredentialing as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual skills.
  • Experience in a multiple provider medical practice, and working with low income, multi-ethnic populations.
  • CPT-4 coding experience, and ICD-10 coding experience.
  • Healthcare information systems experience, including electronic health record and practice management systems.
