Position Summary
As a Coffee Specialist, you will significantly influence our guests' experiences by providing extensive knowledge of our offerings and a steadfast commitment to quality. Your role will involve delivering prompt and efficient beverage and food services to hotel guests, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of all menu items.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Craft and serve a variety of espresso beverages, coffee, and freshly pressed juices, adhering to established standards and guidelines.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of all food and beverage selections to address inquiries and fulfill custom requests.
- Build rapport with guests through outstanding service.
- Anticipate guest needs proactively, assess satisfaction, make recommendations, and address concerns promptly.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of work areas, coffee machines, and service counters.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
- Support Food & Beverage operations during peak periods or staff shortages.
- Adhere to workplace guidelines and codes of conduct.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Ideal candidates should possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in coffee or barista roles is preferred.
- Ability to obtain necessary food handling or alcohol service certifications as required by local regulations.
- Experience in a hotel or resort environment is advantageous.
- Familiarity with the local area is a plus, but not essential.
- Capability to stand for extended periods and communicate effectively with guests.
- A positive attitude and flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and meticulous work habits.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Proficiency in handling cash and processing transactions accurately.
