We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Mental Health Care Specialist to join our team at WellStone, a leading provider of behavioral healthcare services in North Alabama. Our Pediatric Unit provides stabilization and treatment services to adolescents aged 12-18 who are struggling with mental health issues. As a member of our team, you will work collaboratively with professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.

Job Description

This role involves working closely with our multidisciplinary treatment team to provide supportive instruction, guidance, and reinforcement to our clients. You will be responsible for implementing basic living skills training objectives, documenting client progress, and coordinating activities. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build strong relationships with our clients, their families, and your colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support and guidance to clients in achieving their personal goals
  • Implement and document basic living skills training objectives in accordance with established protocols
  • Coordinate group therapy sessions and other activities designed to promote client well-being
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement personalized care plans
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of client progress and incidents
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and electronic health records systems
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Certification in CPR, first aid, and SAMA (or ability to obtain)
